Honda FCX Clarity Hydrogen Fuel Cell Plug-In Electric Hybrid
Finally, someone is producing the car we have been salivating over for a decade. The Honda FCX Clarity is a hydrogen fuel-cell lithium ion plug in electric car. Hydrogen gas from the car’s fuel tank and oxygen in the air pass through membranes in the fuel cell, resulting in an electrochemical reaction that generates electricity to run the motor and produces water vapor as exhaust. A backup lithium-ion battery pack helps when more power is needed than the fuel cell is producing. About 200 go to c

Do You Want To Earn Massive Savings? Then Make Use Of The Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology Now! » Posted under AUTOMOBILE, Hydrogen Fuel on Sep 6, 2008 | 0 Comments What do you feel whenever you’re in the gas station having your tank refueled? You’re probably in a bad mood and you’re starting to develop a headache because of the high price of gas. Although the price of gas fluctuates frequently, it always ends up increasing. Well, things will change now because with hydrogen fuel cell technol
POSCO opens world’s biggest fuel cell plant
SEOUL, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) — POSCO, Korea’s biggest steel maker, opened the world’s biggest hydrogen fuel cell production plant in the southeastern city of Pohang, the Korea Herald reported Friday. According to POSCO, each fuel cell of the plant will be capable of producing 50 megawatts of electricity, which is enough to provide electricity to 17,000 households. The plant took 11 month to be completed and was constructed jointly with the U.S.-based FuelCell Energy. POSCO said it spent a tot

Use Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology To Save The Planet! » Posted under AUTOMOBILE, Hydrogen Fuel on Sep 6, 2008 | 0 Comments Have you heard about water fuel? Well, it is properly called hydrogen fuel cell technology and it is here to save the planet. Oil and gas prices are soaring higher and higher and there will come a time when people realize that they should consider an alternative fuel energy source. Admit it, everyday your car emissions are contributing to pollution. If you want to redu
The Economist: The car of the perpetual future
DURING a keynote address at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, the boss of General Motors (GM), Rick Wagoner, unveiled the Cadillac Provoq, a new hydrogen fuel-cell concept car. With a drivetrain emitting only water vapour, a 300-mile range and a top speed of 160kph (100mph), the vehicle, said Mr Wagoner, represented “the promise of truly sustainable transportation”. It was a promise that sounded vaguely familiar. A decade earlier, in 1998, Mr Wagoner’s predecessor, Jack S
Ford convinced electricity will beat all alternatives
There are almost as many different approaches to the future of automotive fuel and energy supply as there are carmakers, with hydrogen combustion engines, hydrogen fuel cells, ethanol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and a number of permutations of these all in development. Ford thinks they are all just stepping stones to the final fuel source: electricity. Seeing […]
